Preterm labor is going into labor before 37 weeks of pregnancy. Sometimes a woman must deliver the baby early, which is called premature birth. However, medicines are available to try and stop labor if needed. Often bed rest is also needed. Your healthcare provider will decide what is best for you and your baby.
