Follow all cleanliness instructions while working with your catheter and syringes. Make sure to wash your hands and keep your work area clean. Clean hands reduce the chance of infection. Washing your hands will kill germs that may be on them. Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your catheter line or giving the TPN infusion.
