Even if there is some endometrium left, it usually is not able to carry on a pregnancy. If a pregnancy occurs after a NovaSure endometrial ablation, it usually ends up in a miscarriage. Even though this operation makes it extremely unlikely for a woman to get pregnant, pregnancy is still possible but rare. NovaSure endometrial ablation does NOT protect against sexually transmitted diseases, or STDs.
