The thyroid produces two thyroid hormones. These are called the T<SUB>3</SUB> and T<SUB>4</SUB> hormones. The T<SUB>3</SUB> and T<SUB>4­</SUB> hormones affect: Blood pressure. Body temperature. Heart rate. Weight. They are made by thyroid follicular cells.
