Take out 1 Chloraprep swab stick from the package. Starting at the insertion/exit site, use a back and forth motion while applying gentle friction. Repeat the back and forth motion using gentle friction with the 2nd and 3rd Chloraprep swab stick. Clean for 10 seconds with each swabstick for a total of 30 seconds. Clean the area that the dressing will cover. Allow it to dry for about 1 minute before applying the dressing.
